The Huberhof has a long tradition

of schnaps distilling

For decades we have been creating superb aromatic distillates from the very best, sun-ripened fruit from our own orchard.

We mainly use "old varieties of fruit" such as russet, Gravenstein and early dessert apples, pure pear, damson and rowan berry.

This fruit is harvested in the autumn, mashed and then distilled into high-proof schnaps in the winter.

Our distillery was once equipped with a small simple copper still (22 litres) and a water bath still (60 litres).

Since 2014 we have had a wood-heated column still in our “In the cowshed” distillery, which is also the venue for our schnaps workshops.

SEMINAR & WELLNESS

A “spiritual wellness package”

On this exceptional weekend participants discover the theory and practice of producing premium-quality fine fruit spirits and are introduced to the secrets of distillation in a convivial atmosphere. Using small table-top stills each participant distils their own schnaps which they can naturally take home.

The workshop takes place in our own “In the cowshed” distillery.

Participants will also be pampered with culinary delights by the host.

This experience weekend will be rounded off with a relaxation session

in our "Wellness & SPA in the cowshed" facility.
